If you have a christmas tree you’re ready to part with, please think about bringing it to a nearby park for mulching. The Parks Department will reuse the mulch to help maintain and beautify our city.
You can drop off trees at Corlears Hook Park (Cherry and Jackson Streets) or at Thompkins Sq Park where they are actually chipping up the trees and you can get some mulch for your own use.

If you set your tree curbside WITHOUT a bag around it and cleaned of decorations, it will still get turned into compost!
