Problems in the Park

The Park in the 1930s

Thanks to the photo archivists at the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation and to Kate Louis from Partnerships for Parks for looking into this for us! These are images of the original park (then called Downing Park) under construction and a few images of the finished play room and basketball court. Some of the old vibrancy we hope to re-instill at Gulick Park and Playground.
