CityParks Foundation’s PuppetMobile, one of the only traveling puppet theaters in the country, has agreed to bring a Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre production and puppet making workshop to Gulick Park & Playground, free of charge.
They will perform a new work called “Bessie’s Big Shot”—about a cow who joins the circus.
At 1pm on Sunday May 1st, there will be a (roughly) 45 minute performance, followed at 2pm by a workshop where children can learn about puppeteering and possibly make puppets.
The workshop has limited capacity. The Friends of Gulick Park will facilitate some advance registration for the workshop; some slots will be left for day-of registration.
