Save the Date for It’s My Park Day

It’s that time again! This autumn’s It’s My Park Day will be Sunday October 16th from Noon to 3pm **note time change**. We are planning on pumpkin painting, a ping pong tournament, face painting, gardening, and more. Details about other events will be forthcoming.

LMDC awards Gulick Park $900,000

The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation has just announced that Gulick Park and Playground has been awarded $900,000. Through our application and on our behalf, NYC Parks and Recreation will be given the funds in the near future. The exact timing has yet to be determined.

Out of approximately 265 applications asking for about $197 million,

Irene Takes a Tree

Unfortunately, tropical storm Irene felled the upper portions of a tree in Luther Gulick Park–and we didn’t really have any to spare!
