Eleven months since our big community input report was sent to NYC Parks designers, they are now ready to present to our local Community Board 3 parks committee. They will show their research and design concept, replete with renderings of features and plantings, this Thursday April 11th at 6:30pm at the BRC Senior Center on Delancey St’s north side between Chrystie and Forsyth. The two-step phasing of the project will also be explained.
The designers have done a tremendous amount of site research, measuring root structures, daily shade patterns, ground slope gradients, and more. Our neighbors desires and ideas were considered and incorporated. The Friends of Gulick Park committee supports the redesign and are sure it will be a huge benefit to the community.
