Below are images presented to Community Board 3, they have been approved by the city’s Public Design Commission and are subject only to minor changes–larger one’s need re-approval.
The design is the work of NYC Parks & Recreation designers led by George Bloomer, but is greatly informed by the visioning process that began years ago. The designers have been receptive to that process and to our feed back, such as our suggestion to add basketball hoops to the handball court fences for times when basketballers need space and there are no handball players around.
