Thank you to all who came out last Sunday for It’s My Park Day. The park will look nicer in the spring thanks to everyone’s help and the Parks Department’s bulbs. Over 120 pumpkins were painted and many faces. About 400 people came through the park. It’s that time again! This autumn’s It’s My Park Day will be Sunday October 16th from Noon to 3pm **note time change**. We are planning on pumpkin painting, a ping pong tournament, face painting, gardening, and more. Details about other events will be forthcoming. The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation has just announced that Gulick Park and Playground has been awarded $900,000. Through our application and on our behalf, NYC Parks and Recreation will be given the funds in the near future. The exact timing has yet to be determined.
